I typically get 85-120 emails a day through our Microsoft Exchange server. Is there a way to mark all emails as read in my iPad's mail app? I can do that on my Macbook.
Unfortunately, you can't mark emails as read without actually opening them.

In IOS 5 you can actually go into your accounts select the mailbox, the into your inbox and un the top you'll fin an edit button.
ReplyDeleteMark the messages and then click on Mark and then Mark as read.
Hope it helps
I assume the question is more about marking ALL messages read in one go, which is clearly a function that is missing in ios mail.
ReplyDeleteyou can mark all as read at one time....
ReplyDelete1 go to email
2 click edit
3 chose one email
4 chose the mark button, but keep pushing the mark button
5 while holding down the mark button, uncheck that chosen email
6 release the mark button, push the mark button
7 chose "mark as read'
so far so good, I think this will work for delete all as well...
all change to read...
That only works on Iphone, not Ipad.
ReplyDeleteJust worked on my I-Pad. This has been the biggest frustration to me. Thanks for the tip.

ReplyDeleteWhen I try this on the new ipad, it just freezes the screen and I have to cancel out. I cannot perform step 6 because the "mark" button is greyed out and won't operate. Anyone else get this problem?
