Airplay not working on iPad with WiFi network

My iPad has fully been updated with the OS 4.2 and I also have updated my new AppleTV with the latest updates. After I do all of the required steps to login with my Apple ID, the Apple TV does not detect the iPad. When I play a video on the iPad, there isn't a airplay logo appearing in the control bar. The problem seems to be caused by the router. Make sure all of your devices are connecting to the same network. Try rebooting your router and turning off "Quality of Service" feature.

Can I use iPad in cold weather?

I had bought an iPad and want to use it outside. Would the cold weather/temperatures damage it in anyway?

Well, it won't damage the iPad unless it gets wet somehow. If it is out in the cold weather, it will lose charge faster and the touch screen doesn't respond as well. It gets harmed if the temperatures is very cold like artic cold then i would start worrying.

Zombie Neighborhood for iPad

Zombie Neighborhood for iPad is the Top 10 iPad Game in U.S and other 20 countries. In this pretty 2-D shooter, you play as a zombie astronaut called James and fight with the zombie neighbors to defend your house.

Action games tend to be hit or miss on the iPad, but the controls work perfectly for this game. It's simple, intuitive and completely fun game with lots of replayability. You would forget how basic the controls are in the heat of the action. This game has lots of potential. You need to protect two doors in oyur house, the front and back, by killing zombies.

But this game needs some improventments it needs better shooting, the moving controls, more weapons a lot more, have different plaes to kill zombies, to be both on one side of the screen not this one on the left and one on the right.

Download Zombie Neighborhood for iPad ($0.99 - 67% OFF!) from iTunes.

Reading Google Books on your iPad

Google eBook store offers hundreds of thousands of paid titles and more than 2 million free titles. Now Google Books has launched with iPad Apps, so you can load your iPad with google books, magazines etc.

Google Books app does have some very nice interface elements, such as night-reading mode, showing pages remaining in chapter, and view the scanned copy. And you can sync your iPad with your Google Books library.

It's not that great. You can't read in horizontal/landscape mode and it doesn't appear to have any bookmarking features. I think that iBooks is still the best reader app. Because at least it feels like you are reading a read book, not a computer screen.

Download Google Books for iPad (Free) from iTunes.

OffMaps for iPad - Navigation app with Offline Maps

OffMaps for iPad is a navigation app that download city map to your device and use GPS to show your location offline. Also you can search for places, streets with this app.

When I plan on visiting the cities, I will downloaded maps for all data on my devices. Best of all, when I am roaming, I just add pins on the map for where my hotel was and used GPS to guide me around the city with OffMaps. So I don't have to pull my guidebook out to look at a map. But you have to purchase each county. This seem like a waste.

Download OffMaps for iPad ($1.99) from iTunes.

iPad Notes without AirPrint support

After updated my iPad to iOS 4.2, I found that I can't print anything from Notes app by AirPrint. I can print from Safari and Photos works, but there is just the only email icon in Notes.

The kbase document about airprint lists photos, safari, mail, pages, keynote and numbers as printable. There are over 100 third party apps that support AirPrint. But it does seem a bit odd that Alpple would miss The iPad's built-in Notes from AirPrint.

iPad Auto-brightness not working

After I set brightness to auto, the auto-brightness function of my iPad has no response in light and dark environment. Likely it is not broken. It also didn't work when I went from a dark environment to one with light. It seems either like the iPad got naff sensors, or a firmware issue.

While the folder management feature on iOS 4.2 for iPad is without doubt very useful, there is a bug that causes folders to "disappear". After updating the iPad to the latest iOS 4.2 software update, a number of users have reported this similar issues.

I had organized hundreds of apps into folders on iTunes. And click "Apply" buton. After about 15 minutes, the folders I created are all gone.

Here is a probable fix. Just update all your apps and pierce them into folders as good as afterwards sync your iPad.

iPad Apps stuck on "Waiting" while updating

Some of my iPad apps need to be updated through the app store. But now those apps was stuck on "waiting", none of them are downloading though my WiFi network. But my WiFi was working fine. On my Mac, I tried to update the apps through itunes. Nothing happened while I clicked the button to update them.

If I turned off WiFi, it started to download no problem. Then I changed the MTU on my router to 1500 and app store are now working fine. Problem solved.
