iPad Touchscreen freaks out & screens self-registering

I exactly encountered an issue with my iPad. When its screen got excessively dirty with my fingerprints, the touchscreen would register touches without actually touching the screen. iPad will open or close keyboard quickly, zoom in/out Safari rapidly. Then I cleaned the screen and rebooted the iPad, this can stop this behavior until the screen gets dirty again.

I think that it may be caused by my hard presses of the glass. This will leave a distinct finger print wherever I pressed on the screen.

Now I don't even apply any pressure to the glass. Just make as little contact as possible. The screen is fine. If this method still can't fix it, you'd better do a replacement.

Now PBS has announced its iPad version. iPad users can learn more about and watch PBS programs anywhere. This app has beautiful interface. But when I play a show, it skips as much as 60 seconds and video timeline is off a bit. Waiting for next update.

Here is a better solution.
1. In upper-right corner of screen, tap animation button and select slide by slide.
2. Click the > button and select in the Start Transition Option.
3. Select "On Tap".

Exchange mail crashes & iPad Looping Reboot of Death

I need to access our Lotus Notes-based email that goes through the Exchange server connection at work. After setting up my iPad to access exchange mailbox, mail works fine for a while and then crashes. Then goes into a "Looping Reboot of Death" cycle. That causes my iPad to reboot every five minutes.

But after I delete and reset up the profile, email works again.

To fix this issue, I recreated my Exchange profile. Just renaming any mail folders in Lotus Notes to not include / or // in the folder name. I think Apple will fixe this bug.

iPad screen goes black intermittently

My iPad Wi-Fi + 3G has been working fine until recently. After I unlocked and while used any application, the screen suddenly goes black. Then I pressed the home button and the screen returns but the app I was using closed. My friend has the same intermittent problem both while using apps and when logging in. iPad locked up after trying to install iOS 4.2

I am not a developer and tried to install the new iOS 4.2 beta on my iPad. But Apple detected that I wasn't a developer. It didn't allow me to activate my iPad. Now the ipad is stuck on the screen and locked up.

When I want to restore the iPad by iTunes and plug-in it, I get the following messages:

"We are unable to complete you activation.
This device is not registered as part of the iPhone Developer Program.
If you are a member of this program, please register your device at the iPhone Developer Program Portal."

Because you have got for breaking rules and violated the conditions of the developer programme.

1. Download the 3.2.2 iPad firmware.
2. In the iTunes, option click on the the restore button and select the 3.2.2.
If you get an error after it finishes restoring, download recboot 1.0.2 and use it to make iPad out of recovery mode.
3. Then go to setup it as a new iPad.

I have bought an Apple Wireless AZERTY keyboard that is the French version of the standard QWERTY keyboard. It connects fine with my iPad and the touchscreen keyboard is also azerty. But its layout can't be not recognised. How can I fix it?

In order to change the correct hardware layout for the iPad, try it:
* Tap Settings > General > Keyboard.
* Select International Keyboards.
* Tap English and choose either QWERTY or AZERTY or QWERTZ.

Awesome Apple TV 2010 with iPad remote app

Apple TV is a digital media receiver offering lots of new features including Neflix, podcaset support, and etc. AppleTV 2010 remoting by iPad app is very awesome. Best 99$ ever spent.

Between the gestures and the keyboard to type in the "search" fields is sooooo great! I use iPad keyboard and Typed in words in search field, then use gestures to scroll through choices, tap button on my iPad to start playing. I would be set to get rid of all cable TV.

Move Your iPad to New Computer PC/Mac

An iPad is only allowed to sync with one iTunes library at a time by Apple. You are not able to sync without restoring your iPad to factory while try syncing with a second system.

When you restore a PC or Mac, buy a new computer, even sync with a different system than the one you currently use, if you don't want to have to wipe your iPad, you will have to move your iTunes files to the new system before you make the switch.

iPad issues: unable to move mail message to trash

After updated my iPad software to the latest version, I was unable to delete the past 6 months mail from my AOL and Yahoo e-mails I've had configured on my iPad.

I got an error message while trying to swipe or delete messages: "Unable to move message. The message could not be moved to the mailbox trash." How to fix this?

Try the following solution and see if that fixes it.

* Tap Settings > mail, contacts, calenders
* Clicked on AOL > advanced
* Clicked on Deleted Mailbox
* Click the "trash" button under "on my iPad" even though its already checked.
* After doing that, I can delete my AOL mail again.

iPad Bricked Urgent issues

I had forgot my password with my iPad right and was trying to get into it. After asked somebody, I found that I had to delete a little file, so I deleted it and turned off iPad and turned it back on again. But it still went to lock screen.

Then I used itunes to do a restore, but it wouldn't finish and iPad got dead. How can I fix the iPad Bricked Urgent issues? Is there a way to flash the device?

In order to fix this problem, you should put the iPad into DFU mode and restore it by iTunes. Going into DFU mode and loading a .ipsw which contained iOS 3.2.2 and restoring it. Fixed everything.

To use Chimpadeedoo, you need a MailChimp account for signing in. I have used it at two expos to collect emails to send a mass message out later. It works offline and then syncs the emails to your MC account afterwards. The lacking of first and last name fields is the real issue. I can't customize email campaigns with regards to salutation. Waiting for its next updates.

iPad instability when connected to MacBook

I have a MacBook Pro runninging O/S 10.6. Whenever my iPad connect to my MacBook, it goes beserk. Contacts pages open and turn, Apps open and close randomly, the Calendar opens and changes dates chaotically etc. My iPad is instability now. Even I have restored the iPad twice.

I think you may update your Mac. Now most recent Snow Leopard version is v10.6.4. If you are running v10.6.2, click your Apple menu then choose Software Update. After the updates are installed, restart your Mac and your Mac.
