iPad camera connection kit not working with iPhone 4

I had an iPad camera connection kit. Yesterday I want to transfer some photos from my iPhone 4 to my iPad using it. When plugging in the kit to the iPhone, it tells me the device is not recognized. Reboots of the devices have not cured the problem.

Now the iPhone 4 has been proven to be incompatible with the iPad Camera Connection Kit leaving the device without a USB port or SD card reader. The kit doesn't work with iPhone 4.

Pocket God - Entertament app

Pocket God for iPad is a really awesome app. Play Pocket God and discover the answer within yourself. Somebody says this game is boring and has no point well, but it is not a game, it's entertament. It's supposed to keep you entertained for several minutes not several hours.

Also the new update is cool. More monkeys appear and throw the banana off the cliff mire than once. Waiting for adding some new islands in next update. Seriously, it still has no retina graphics.

Fastest way to setup 600 iPads

My company has bought a large number of iPads and I have to set up them.

Is there an out of the box solution that would involve just turning it on and gathering all the necessary information from an mobileconfig file?

All IPads have to connect to computer and be registered. Is there any way to get around this step. Will all iPads be registered to the same Apple ID for

I haven't gotten very far with the iPhone Config Utility. I just want to make things a little less labor intensive. My plan is to just connect each iPad to a computer and sync them with the appropriate settings and files.

Fist, no, you can't do that. You have to connect each one to the computer first. 600 iPads sound very time consuming. Especially it always has to update first

Fitness Free HD - Exercises with instructions and photos

Fitness Free HD is such a reliable and efficient fitness app for iPad. It is the most helpful fitness app I have seen.

This app offers many exercises with detailed instructions and photos for men and women. Each exercises are grouped according to body parts, muscles and equipment. And you can also add your own exercises within it. Or you can use one of the ready-made workout routines. Otherwise you may lose motivation and interest in fitness.

Folders limit on iPad with iOS 4.2

With iOS 4.2, folders in iPad give you an easy way to keep all your apps organized and de-clutter your Home screens. So you can spend less time swiping and clean up your home screens after your iPad is updated to iOS 4.2.

But there are a element to iOS 4.2 folders that are really annoying. That’s dopey that iOS 4.2 folders can only hold 12 items on iPad. You can't remove the 12 app folder limit unless jailbreak.

Welcome to your new iPad with iTunes while syncing

Everytime I plug my iPad into computer, iTunes says "Welcome to your new iPad". It acts like this is the first time its plugged in. I have to click "continue" button and it runs fine through the sync process.

It is quite annoying. If I unplug it and plug it right back in, the same welcome screen will come up again. I think it is because the iPad isn't registered.

I do the following steps to fix it:
* Unticked "Open iTunes when this iPad is connected"
* Ejected your iPad
* Close iTunes, disconnected then reconnected iPad.
* Re-open the iTunes.
* Get back to the "Register this iPad"

After registered, it should act normal when connecting it again.

Free Wi-Fi Finder for iPad

Free Wi-Fi Finder is a very good app. It gives you the power to find free WiFi hotspots. And you don't have to have connected WiFi to your iPad. This looks cool.

This app is easy to use, has great design. The offline database is a necessary function. But it seems to have some bugs as it shuts down easily. It had suddenly stopped working, then dumped me back to my iPad's homne screen.

There are purchased items on the iPad Error message

I am having the issue with my iPad. After I updated iPad to 3.2.1, I was greeted with the same message, as if I should download some apps with iTunes.

"There are purchased items on the iPad "iPad" that have not been transferred to your iTunes library. You should transfer these items to your iTunes library before updating this iPad. Are you sure you want to continue?"

Then I had to do the transfer. And I didn't want to lose purchases from the iPad, so I use the iBooks app to download some free books, then synced with iTunes and the message didn't appear.

TanZen HD tangram puzzle game

TanZen HD is the classic tangram puzzle game for iPad.

This puzzle reminds me of orrgami. So many shape can be created using the same 7 saps in defferent contortions. Fun each and every day. Every time I think I have 'masterd' the game. I get some puzzle shape that keeps me baffled.

But it's too easy to play. I wish every single puzzle did not use the same exact shapes and it presented more of a challenge. Even if they varied the shapes with each page that would been more of an improvement.

Download TanZen HD ($2.99) from iTunes.

Geared for iPad

Geared is a challenging and innovative puzzle game for when you're bored. The first and only Gear-based game without snap-grid. Geared delivers complete freedom to every player. And every puzzle has a near infinite array of choices.

I have been playing the iPhone version for a long times. After the iPad version released, I can tell you this version is even more addicting with the HD graphics. Definitely worth the upgrade from the iPhone version. One word for reviewing it: "Amazing". Don't passed up this game.

Difference between iPad and iPhone 4

I have been really interested in buying an iPhone 4 for a long time, but now I am also thinking of owning an iPad. And I am wondering what's a major difference between an iPad and iPhone 4. Please help me finally choose to buy it.

Well. The iPhone is a phone and the iPad is a portable computer. This is the main difference.

And you can put the iPhone 4 in your shirt pocket. But the iPad that is huge can't do that.

The iPhone is a fabulous pocket information source. It makes phone calls and texting , but it's limited by the small screen.

The iPad has greater screen size, soyou are able to read news, documents and books, making notes and play games.

But when we get iOS 4.2 for the iPad, with Skype and a set of phone earbuds your iPad can function as a phone.

Now I use both.

Splode is a hot new game on both the iPad and iPhone. I recommend this game for a nice game to chill with.

The addition of leaderboards gives it that little extra something to insteresting for the long haul.

iPad 3G Activation & Roaming Questions

I have an iPad 3G in the U.S. and picked up a Bell Canada SIM card. I tried to sign up for service and the carrier setup does not accept a U.S. State in place of a province.

* Can I use a third party carrier prepaid iPad MicroSIM to activate the iPad while roaming?

You requires activating a prepaid iPad account with that carrier while changing to a foreign MicroSIM to travel.

For example: American buys iPad in the USA to use in Canada.
The American will require a Canadian credit card and Canadian mailing address to activate with the carrier of the MicroSIM.

* Are there prepaid iPad data roaming options for carriers of the iPad?

Carriers currently don't allow data roaming on the iPad.

You are able to use WiFi to connect to the many hotspot locations available while traveling.

How Multitasking Works in the iPad iOS 4.2

Multitasking will come to the iPad in November. WIth this new feature in iOS 4.2 for iPad, you are able to switch between applications instantly, and use one while others keep doing their tasks in the background.

How does it works?
According to Apple, iOS 4.2 keep as eligible apps running as it can hold in memory at one time on your iPad, and others remain in a suspended state. In other words, it allows you to pause applications while enabling some special services to allow some types of tasks to run on the background.

Multitasking can help you work quickly and transparently.

Using this method, You can open Safari to watch web pages, then go back to keep playing a game. Or uploading your photos by Flickr app while you are reading your email. Just where you left it before switching to any of those tasks.

To manage all the running apps, double-clicking the home button and you can see a tray showing all running apps. Just clicking on another running app in the tray to switch. That is similars to the task switch bar on Mac OS X or Windows.

Can't sync books with iPad

I'm able to sync all other types of media, including apps, movies, musics, but just can not sync books. After connecting iPad to my Mac, whenever I check the box in iTunes 9, I get the error message:

"Are you sure you want to sync books? All existing songs, movies and TV shows on the iPad will be removed."

Why all of my other assets have to be messed with just to be able to sync books?

Then I solve this problem. Just reinstalled iBooks app.

Chapters - Notebooks for Writing

Now you are able to create and manage multiple notebooks on your iPad with Chapters's Notebooks for Writing app, such as a travel journal, a photo log and your personal diary.

Netflix "Unable to reach netflix.com" on iPad

I always use the Netflix app to watch several Movies and TV shows on my iPad WiFi + 16GB.

But last week the Netflix App becomed useless, I clicked on the Play button and got the "You're almost ready to watch" screen. When Netflix tried to load the movie then I got an alert: "Unable to reach netflix.com". And the movie stopped playing.

Now I have found a solution for this problem, at least it works for me 100%. Just go into your router and changed the DNS to use OpenDNS (www.opendns.com) and it works flawlessly for me. Netflix now works on all my iPad, iPhone 4, and iPod Touch.

iTunes 10 aborts iPad update with error 1631

iTunes 9 worked fine on my Mac and I have just switched to iTunes 10. My iPhone worked with iTunes 10 as expected.

But when I tried to "search for updates" for my iPad 32GB+3G, iTunes 10 aborts my update reques with a error 1631: "itunes was unable to search for updates for the network operator settings for your iphone."

The exact hardware and error message happens to me after just upgrading to iTunes10. How can I fix it?

It seems 3.2.2 likely won't be an iPad update until iOS4.2 for iPad in November. You'd better downgrade to iTunes 9 again.

iPad 3G "AT&T is not able to process your request" error

I have the exact problem with iPad 3G. After downloading iTunes 10 and restoring my iPad to 3.2.2, WiFi connection works fine, 3G obviously is not working. So I tried to access my cellular account info and 3G data plan, I got the following error message:

"AT&T is not able to process your request. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please try again later (00000)"

It happened after I requested my password be emailed to me. Is that any resolution?

Then I called AT&T customer service (phone number:1-800-331-0500), he told me AT&T is upgrading their system to allow data plan users to manage their account online and apparently something went wrong.

He deleted my current AT&T apple iPad cell number and start me with a new number. The problem fixed. My iPad works again on 3G network.

How to Setup Hotmail ActiveSync on iPad device

Microsoft has provided steps for enabling Hotmail ActiveSync on iPad devices.

An iPad supports only a single ActiveSync profile. If your iPad has the existing ActiveSync profile, back up the data and delete it.

1. ON the Home Screen, tap Settings >“Mail, Contacts, Calendar” > “Add Account” > “Microsoft Exchange”
2. Enter the following in fields:

Email: your full Hotmail email address
Domain: Leave blank
Username: your full Hotmail email address
Password: your password
Description: Hotmail

Server: m.hotmail.com

SSL: Enabled
Certificate: Accept the SSL certificate when prompted
Mail, Contacts, Calendar, Tasks: All can be enabled.

3. After finishing the configure, select the data to sync and tap on Save button.

iPad will connect to Hotmail ActiveSync and perform an initial sync for the selected data. You are able to push email, calendar, and contacts with Exchange ActiveSync now. Enjoy it!

Hotmail ActiveSync support for iPad

For all existing Hotmail users worldwide, Microsoft has added Hotmail ActiveSync support for iPad, iPod Touch and iPhone devices. This new push synchronization support is also supported on other mobiles, such as Windows Mobile 6.x, Windows Phone 7, Nokia S-Series, E_Series, N-Series phones and Palm smartphones. But I disappoint that it can't work with any Android devices.

Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) can keep everything in sync between your phone and Hotmail, including add an appointment, delete an email or update one of your contacts with a new number.

Now you can get this same push functionality with a Hotmail account on your iPad.

Can't Post threads to forums in Safari on iPad

I visited websites in Safari on my iPad. When posting to discussion threads, I clicked on respond and typed in the text box and clicked on Post button, nothing happens. Posting is not working on the site. Is that any solution for this?

If the forums use JavaScript based "Rich Text" Editing fields that allow you to apply formatting to text such as Bold, underline, colours, the problem will occur. I think that the iOS 4.0 will be supposed to support it.

No Wifi symbols, no Wifi on iPad

My 64gb iPad wifi +3G worked fine without any problems until last week. But now it can't find any wifi in the house and my iPhone can do that. I rebooted and re-installed everything several times but nothing worked.

This sounds like a hardware issue. I did the hard reset and restored it, then I installed it as a new iPad but that didn't work either.

How to fix this problem

Tap Settings > WiFi > and told it to "Forget this Network" for the "N" band and then selected the "G" band. Problems gone.

Create Folders in Pages on your iPad

In order to organize my Pages files on my iPad, is that possible to create different folders in Pages?

I think this feature will be added by the iOS4 update.

Some apps do allow making folder for items stored in them, such as DropBox, Docs2Go or GoodReader.

Transfer word documents without losing footnotes between iPad and laptop

I need to transfer word documents between my laptop and iPad in both directions? How can I do that without losing footnotes?

Documents To Go is a great app for supporting view, edit & create Word (.doc, .docx) files. It can preserve footnotes both ways.

You can high fidelity viewing: embedded graphics, tables, comments, footnotes/endnotes, text boxes. But can not edit them.
