When I use use the bluetooth for the first time, I turned my headset into pairing mode, then tap the settings > general > bluetooth pane and turned it on. I left it like this for 6 minutes and it did not find anything. But I use my iPhone 3GS to pair the headset and it worke fine.

Use iPod cable and power adapter for iPad

Can I use the iPod USB cable and power adapter for the iPad as well? Would it be nice to charge both my iPod and iPad in the same place without unplugging the adapter and cable?

The cables are interchangeable. The iPod power adapters work but it will charge the iPad very very slowely. Because the iPad is more power hunrgry than the iPhone or iPod.

Does anyone know if there is a way to change the default calendar on the iPad?

Yes. Here is the tips on how do to set the default calendar on iPad.

Tap on settings > mail calendar contacts.
Scroll to the bottom of the settings pane on the right
You will see the option to specify which calendar to use as default.
