I have iTunes 10.1 running on Mac OS 10.6.5 and my iPad 64GB WiFi+3G has been updated to iOS 4.2.1. I can't be able to complete a backup in iTunes after creating multiple folders. During the backup phase of an sync in iTunes, the backup phase seemed to stop progressing and the iPad kept rebooting until I pulled the plug. Just can't quite complete the sync process.
After done a hard reboot, the iPad seems to function normally. Then I noted that the latest backup file was a corrupt backup. I deleted it in that folder ( ~/library/application support/mobilesync), synced normally and the backup completed .
The problem solved. Deleting the contents of the backup folder reduces backup time to 18 minutes.

WOW! Something is wrong here! Why are you posting all of these issues or problems with the ipad that has been updated to 4.2.1 iOS?
ReplyDeleteNo one or anyone in other forums complaining. Where did this person or whoever get the upload (4.2.1) from?? It seems very bad...
Maybe I will wait for 5.0 iOS! hahaha
